Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Nothing on this site, and nothing returned by any third-party tool linked from it, may be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose the FCRA covers.
How Current Is the Information
Records are corrected, portals and prices change, collections move, and digitization expands coverage. Although we review the material, no detail is guaranteed to remain complete or current. Confirm it with the Polk County, Des Moines, or Iowa custodian before relying on it.
No Legal Advice
The information is not legal advice. Explanations of Des Moines rolls and directories cannot replace guidance from a licensed attorney about a specific situation.
Use Must Be Lawful
Public access supports transparency, not harm. Never use a record to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or injure someone. Misuse may violate Iowa and federal law as well as the Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party companies. We do not control what those tools return, what they charge, or how they handle submitted data, and their results are not FCRA-compliant consumer reports.
Links Beyond Our Control
Links may lead to the Polk County Assessor or Recorder, Iowa election and court systems, library collections, archives, and similar resources. We do not control their content, accuracy, or availability.
Records Stay With Custodians
No government roll, directory volume, court file, or vital certificate is hosted here. The responsible office, library, or portal supplies, verifies, and corrects its own records.
